Cortona is a historic fortressed town in Tuscany, Italy. Cortona week is a yearly convention that encourages PHD science students to explore other science disciplines, philosophy, the arts, and spiritual lineages. Nick taught poi at the convention for 7 years. In 2008, Nick and the other artists put together a fire-theatre show and performed it in the town square.
