In January 2027 I am running poi intensives in Pai, northern Thailand, at Dreamscape.
Why Pai?
Pai has become a major world gathering place for flow arts and circus, and mid-January is peak season. There are shows, flow jams and fire spinning most nights, and performers arrive from all over the world.
This is a different kind of retreat from Leviathan Poi Camp in Canada. Not a remote island where we make our own world for two weeks, but a town offering events and community every evening.
Details so far:
- Where — Dreamscape, Pai, northern Thailand
- When — Jan 10-16 and 17-23, 2027
- Who it is for — This is for those who know the fundamentals of poi (most of them at least).
- Week 1 will be for “the fundamentals that lead to mastery” where we look at the core concepts that lead to mastery.
- Week 2 will be about applying week 1 concepts to intermediate and advanced patterns and dance
- Cost — $500USD for 1 week, $850USD for two weeks
- Includes — 4-5-hours of lessons x 6 days (includes lessons by guest artists) plus practice time, daily suggested activities, and an excursion
- Does not include — This is a non-residential intensive. It does not include food or accommodation. We can help book accommodation and we will recommend our favourite restaurants.
